Silly jacket season

We learn a new thing every single day don't we ?
This jacket below is called a Shacket .
Yup .
S-H-A-C-K-E-T .

Why ?
Because it's a cross between a shirt and a jacket ( rolls eyes ) .
Say you decide to get one too , you can either go oversized ( which I think makes me look huger than I already am ) or go for a closer fit , which suits me .

29 up north

Intan Bling's post about the white pair of shoes with a huge buckle really got my attention as I really like the design which reminds me of those 18th century period shoes .
She also mentioned a shop known as the 28 ringgit shoe store . After wondering what that meant , it finally dawned upon me that Maybe , she was referring to those makeshift shoe stalls set up by Thai and Cambodian nationals in Malaysia .

Thus , I paid a visit to one such place and ended up with 2 types of footwear .

Padini - jumpsuit or playsuit ?

Whenever I walk into any clothes store , I'll grab the maximum allowed number of clothes off the rack to take into the dressing room for a tryout .
And a lot of times , thanks to my not so proportionate smaller top and too ample bottom , between half to three quarters do not suit me , which is one of the reasons why I will never shop online for clothes .
The other good thing that comes out of the exercise despite the fails involved , is that sometimes I find gems that look like they should be avoided as the design looks so complicated at first glance .

So , while I'm so happy to have found these 2 playsuits , what baffled me at the time , was that they are categorised as jumpsuits, which is usually what one refers to for one pieces with long pants involved . Playsuits or rompers are what one calls them .
I hope whoever in Padini who is in charge of the product listing corrects this small detail .

Let it show

Once past the seemingly complicated network of straps , I now completely enjoy the freedom that a bralette offers me , the wearer .
In today's world , we are now allowed to let it show in a peekaboo manner , which makes this type of bra absolutely perfect for me .

If at first glance , it looks like a ridiculously sheer piece of overpriced clothing with strings to you , you're not alone . I was guilty of thinking that initially as well .
However , the instant you put it on , somehow , it makes you feel a special kind of coy feminenenness ( if there ever is such a word lolzwut ) , it could get you hooked on it and want to ditch all of your stiff padded bras so to speak .
Nothing short of amazing .

USA Pro - Mono Bandana tights

You're seeing my first pair of USA Pro tights right here .
Called the Mono Bandana , when I first spotted this on the rack , my heart skipped a beat , and then when I peered at the size , and saw the number 10 omg , I felt a little crestfallen . While it sure looked small , I defiantly lugged it into the changing room just to see if it could go past my hips .
Man ......it fit so nicely , I was surprised , I was immediately sold !

Brands Outlet - quilted mini crossbody handbag

There's a reason why I got two of these mini handbags sold under the Garage label .

One ...size . Small, yet big enough for me to put my phone , purse and tissues in . Plus , a mini crossbody bag of this size , makes it easier for me to hide it out of sight from potential snatch thieves !

Second reason ....when it comes to this store , should I decide to sleep over it and come back another day , there's a high chance it won't be there anymore ! Any bag with a full length heavy gold strap is gonna cost as least 80 ringgit in other stores .
Here ?

Tesco F & F Active athletic wear - some hits , some misses

I do shop at Tesco often . Even when I pop into Thailand , sometimes I check out the stores there as well .

Actually bought one of my first sports bras from Tesco , a black with mottled pink edging under the Assign label . I'll be very honest about that sports bra .
Although it did hold my boobs up well , washing was a nightmare . First wash , caused the colour to run and bleed , staining the removable inner sponge to a dirty colour. Ugh .
Next annoyance was the stitching . The underside where the band is , seemed to crack with each fitting and that really bothered the heck out of me . That initial bra became extremely faded and looked like a very, very sad old rag by the third wash  .
Miss # 1

Miss # 2 is a striped sleeveless mesh tee that turned out to be so ugly , I wonder what came over me . Doesn't deserve any pics either m

Now you're probably wondering why I didn't ask for a refund or shop elsewhere then ? Simple , because I was much larger than I am now , there just wasn't any other option .

Panic caused by a hoodie

Right , I finally picked up a camouflage hoodie . At long last after searching far and wide !
It's made from 100% polyester , and zips up beyond the neck .

When it comes to hoodies , I'm not willing to fork out a hundred ringgit and above not yet . And believe me , I've gone to many shops to try them out , but so far I have not found one that suits me even at a higher price tag .

H & M - can I M

Heading up north , this year's paddy fields are not as spectacularly golden as in the past .
Still , out of habit , I popped into the best shopping complex in town , which is Aman Central , and head straight for the split level H&M store located within .

H&M medium support , racerback sports bra with ventilating mesh and wide elasticated hem.

9 white , 4 not

Nothing beats an extended weekend . It gives you more time to go ahead and earnestly get down to whatever you've been wanting to plough more effort into , which in my case , is to extend my wardrobe with more sized down casual wears , since I actually live near a beach .

Considering how difficult they are to maintain , as well as my preference towards black , I'm surprised that I've begun picking up white pieces of clothing .

Listing down the haul below .

Guess we were meant to be

In this bag is almost all of the tops I've ever wanted and been searching for all my life . No , I'm really not kidding  .
Can't believe that almost everything under the Marciano label is right up my alley . Seems it was all designed with larger girls in mind . No doubt , even skinny models will look good in 'em ....gosh , there's some magic in these cuts I tell you .

There's also a dress in the pile ,  something I've been lusting over since last year .
Can't tell you how deliriously happy the contents inside make me feel , but I wish you could see the big smile on my face as I walked out of the shop !

Playsuit payoff

Sunday afternoon was spent on retail therapy , picking out new togs out of store racks .
Once again , I found myself gravitating towards Cotton On where I had to this time , being a weekend , contend with very excited Thai bargain hunters who seemed to swoop up sports bras by the basket loads ! They're probably business women cos I don't know any exercise freak who will buy that many sports bras at one go , at least not yet .

Ah , but my intention to enter this store , has swayed from focus on their activewear and now that all the effort  is slowly paying off  ( but still a big girl mind you ) , I'm moving on .
Of course , I could find a million faults to fret over my unperfect body but what's the point in that eh ?

Ended up picking 2 playsuits and a 2 piece combo all in . What I consider my personal payoffs for all the time poured into my workouts .

Winged throwback to the 70s and 90s

This is the second bird print I'm getting this year . The first was a macaw print tights from Cotton On , which you can find in a backpost  .
Now this . A pink parrot which I find so quirky .

3 firsts towards a minier me

This is the first miniskirt I'm purchasing in a really long time .
It's taken between 8 to 9 months to come to this stage .
My tummy has gone down half the size it previously was without any loose skin problem . There's long term results for you .

Koochi moochi is probably not going to approve but because I live in Penang , the one place in Malaysian where older women of my age and beyond still dare to don such garb , I'm going right ahead and gonna pour myself into one anyway .

2nd pair in 2 months

Bought my first 3 stripe trainers in May , now I've done so much foot battering workouts with them , that the soles are wearing down and making a funny suction sound .
Don't get me wrong , the shoe itself is still intact . Structure still very good .... on the outside that is .
However , the cushioning impact has been drastically reduced and I can feel it . Ignoring that detail just to stretch my ringgit would be a really foolish thing to do , seeing how old I am now .
Just the other day , I was having a chat with this other exercise kaki who told me how she spoilt her knees by not getting a better pair of soles . Too late to turn back time so to speak as the damage is irreversible .

Not just any mat

Have you ever seen a gold yoga mat ?
I sure haven't . Anyway , since I just began to incorporate exercise into my life from last December , inevitably yoga will be a natural progression . Don't care if it has been in the market far back as 2016 ( what the production date on the label says ) but I sure want one for myself !
Where did I get this from ? Body by Cotton On . Bag not included .

Reebok Sayumi and a Classic Royal duffel

Seriously now . I went back in to see where I had gone wrong . Why so many found them suitable , yet I found fault with the Les Milles Hayasu line. Nope.
Still does not give me that proper fit . Huge issue with a snag in the heel area .
Really don't see what the fuss is all about .
Had also snuck back into another Puma outlet , not impressed when I realised that they still had a long way to go in terms of durability as well as discolouration .

Then I decided to slip my foot into the brown and white Sayumi . Hey , not bad .
Found a black and white lying around  but not before a little bit of drama .

Caving headgear find at Mr DIY

For camping or caving, you'll need this.
Can't be holding a torch light in your hand or your mouth right ?

How much does this usually cost ?

Cheapest place to buy Ski gloves

Surprise, surprise, guess where I found these ?

Mr DIY .
As you can see, they come in very limited numbers, designs and sizes. Unless you're clambering up K2, these will do the job just fine.

Daiso haul - Spring gloves and ear muffs

Ever knew you could buy warm gloves at RM $5 each ?
Got these at Daiso.
 Crazy cheap !

Same story went for the ear muffs
 Also RM $ 5 .
This is crazy.
Where else you gonna get warm ear muffs at this price ?
